Appointments

Scheduling has its benefits.

Occasionally, despite our best efforts, we may run late. We will keep you informed so that you have the option of rescheduling your appointment or seeing another provider, if available.

We will make every attempt to see acutely ill children on the day of your call or soon thereafter. If you know your child is sick, please call early, in order to schedule a convenient appointment time. While we reserve a portion of appointments for acutely ill patients, there may be times during peak illness periods, such as fall and mid-winter, when it may be necessary to see someone other than your usual provider or possibly be seen during a less desirable time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. During most seasons of the year this, fortunately, will not pose a problem.

Please call us to cancel your child's appointments as we do charge a $30.00 No-show fee. To avoid a no-show assessment, your cancellatiion should be made at least 4 hours prior to your appointment.

Details help your child and us.

When scheduling an appointment do mention whether your call is related to a sick visit or an annual well check-up. If sick, describe the symptoms to our staff member, it is very important for us to get any details, that will enable us to assess the urgency for scheduling your child's appointments. Symptoms such as rashes, fevers, or coughs, and whether you have chosen not to vaccinate your child for religious, medical or philosophical reasons; are all important details that will enable our staff to care for your child.

Scheduling 101

If scheduling a check-up, do inform us if the appointment is needed for sports, annual physical, immunizations or school problems. We require our patients to be current on their annual check-up to assess your child's health prior to administering vaccines.

In order for us to adequately care for your child, we are not able to schedule appointments for sick visits and check-ups for the same day, these should be scheduled separately.

New patients should arrive 20 minutes early to fill out forms. To save time you may wish to print these online by going to the patient forms section. Established patients should arrive 10 minutes early just in case your child's records need updating.
